Just an Update!

Elder Chidester is being transferred to Topeka, KS!
He will be doubling to cover the Wakarusa Valley Ward
as well as the University ward.
He loved his last area and he will be sad to go,
but he is very excited about this new change!
He will also be getting a new companion as well,
so more details to come on that soon!

A Spectacular Goal!

This past week Elder Chidester and Elder Miller set a goal. Their goal was to teach over 57 lessons since that is what the record currently is in their area. Their exact goal was to teach 63 lessons. They set out during the week and I got the news on Wednesday that they had already hit 30! I was amazed! They were on fire! Well, today I got an email from Elder Chidester telling me the outcome...

70 LESSONS.

In one week. 70 lessons. That is incredible. THAT, is hard work. They're both exhausted, but they are so happy that they met and exceeded their goal! They also have a baptism for a guy named Ross Platt on the 26th, so they are very excited about that! Transfers are on Thursday this week, so we are all anxious to see what happens there. Elder Chidester is working so hard and is loving his mission! 80 days left, keep working hard, Elder! (:

A Bit of News!

Elder Chidester and Elder Miller are both staying in Kansas City again this transfer! They are very excited! This week, they committed a lady named Kathy for baptism. Her baptism date is set for June 4th, and they are thrilled about it! They will also be committing a man named Jay for baptism soon as well! They are having lots of success and are loving missionary work!

Also, Elder Chidester's family got a letter from his mission president letting them know that his release date will be September 8th! Just a little over three and a half months left. Exciting! But for now he is loving his mission and is working hard!

New Stuff!

I got some pictures from Elder Chidester today! If you remember, Elder Chidester had two baptisms a while ago, one for Carla and Emma Vela, and another for Mia and Michael (forgive me for forgetting their last names!) Here are the picture from those baptisms, as well as the current construction of the Kansas City Temple! I'm not sure when it's going to be dedicated, but it's really coming along! It's so pretty! The Elders also found another family of six investigators whom they have been working with. They are keeping busy and loving the work!

K.C Temple! Sorry these pictures aren't great quality.
I think my camera needs some help.

Helping Hands!

Last P-Day, Elder Chidester and Elder Miller were able to help the Sprenkle family with some yard work. Vicki told me that Elder Chidester mowed her lawn in record time! Missionaries are amazing. Here are some pictures from all the fun!

Tomorrow will be Elder Chidester's 20 month mark. Only four months left! Whoot whoot! (:

A Quick Update...

Elder Chidester and Elder Miller have had an awesome week! On Sunday, they were able to baptize two girls, Carla and Emma Vela. They will be confirmed this Sunday (the 24th.) They are also teaching a woman named Jackie, who is originally from California. She felt like something was missing in her life, and she remembered living around a bunch of LDS people back in Cali. She had a great experience with them, so she got on mormon.org and was able to chat with a missionary who called the Bishop in her area. Elder Chidester and Elder Miller were able to meet with her! (: Technology is so amazing... but the Gospel is even more amazing!

Elder Chidester said his mission has been going through a lot of changes recently. He says that they've been raising the bar, which is excellent! He said the way things run and missionary work itself is changing and improving. He's really excited about the changes and said things are a lot more successful! We're so blessed to know about the Gospel and God's love for us! It just makes things better. Have a great week, everyone! (:

[Pictures of baptisms coming soon!]

Liberty Jail

This week, the Elders had a chance to go to Liberty Jail with the Sprenkles. They had a lot of fun, and the Sprenkle family took them to Red Robin afterward to eat. Elder Chidester and Elder Miller are also working with a part member family with two daughters who want to be baptized, so that will also be coming up soon! (: They also had a conference this past week with Elder Kevin W. Pearson. Elder Chidester said it was a very influential meeting, and Elder Pearson talked about having the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. He is working super hard, and is loving every minute of his mission! Here are some more pictures of the past week...
