Liberty Jail

This week, the Elders had a chance to go to Liberty Jail with the Sprenkles. They had a lot of fun, and the Sprenkle family took them to Red Robin afterward to eat. Elder Chidester and Elder Miller are also working with a part member family with two daughters who want to be baptized, so that will also be coming up soon! (: They also had a conference this past week with Elder Kevin W. Pearson. Elder Chidester said it was a very influential meeting, and Elder Pearson talked about having the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. He is working super hard, and is loving every minute of his mission! Here are some more pictures of the past week...

Too Much Fun!! (:

What?? Another post? So soon?! This has to be some sort of record! (; This week has been a great week for Elder Chidester and Elder Miller! They baptized two kids last weekend named Mia and Michael, (ages 8 & 9, pictures coming soon) and were very excited about it! Elder Chidester said these two kids are outstanding people, and such great examples! The Elders also got to spend some time with the wonderful Sprenkle family! What a neat bunch! Vicki Sprenkle took some more awesome pictures, and here they are! (:

He's such a goof. (: Have a great weekend, all!

Snow, Snow, and MORE SNOW!

Elder Chidester and Elder Combs are having a great time in Kansas City! They’re getting snowed on quite a bit, but that just makes it funner, right? (; They had another baptism on the 22nd, and are now working with some new investigators. They’re having a lot of success, and a lot of fun in the snow!
Here are a few pictures of their snow days! (Thanks to Vicki Sprenkle for the pictures!)

Elder Chidester is also turning 21 this month!! Remember to wish him a Happy Birthday! (: And we're on the 7 month countdown now! Woo hoo! :D

More Pictures!!

I promised to get more pictures up when they got here, and they got here about three days ago! I'm getting better at not procrastinating!! Woo hoo! (; Some of these pictures are from while Justin was still in Trenton, but there are a few from his current area in Kansas... enjoy! (:

Oh, and just as a sidenote, today he's been out for 14 months!! Hooray! :D

These next two pictures are from his current area:

So this is just the coolest thing ever... No big deal. (:

Manhattan...Kansas?? (:

So it's been three months since I last posted anything on Elder Chidester's blog. I'm horrible, but I promise to do better! Last week, Elder Chidester was transferred to Manhattan, Kansas. He was in Kansas at the very first of his mission, but it was just a tiny town. He is now in the 3rd largest city in Kansas, and is kind of going through a culture shock right now! He is loving it there, though! So that's always good news! He is training his new companion named Elder Jensen. He is from Coconut Creek, FL. They are right next to Kansas State University, and they are over the Manhattan University Single's Ward. So that's definitely a new experience for him! He was pretty sad about leaving Trenton, he had some amazing experiences there and was able to meet a lot of really neat people. However, he is very excited about his new area and is ready to start teaching more people! He's keeping super busy!

Here are some pictures from when he was still in Trenton... he said he'd be sending more soon, so I'll get them up when they get here! (:

Somehow, he still manages to be a goofball every chance he gets. (;

I have absolutely no comment for this picture.
It worked great for a while!... til it fell down.

Just one last thing... are we really almost down to ten months?? Holy cow. Yippee!! :D

Updates

Last week Elder Chidester and Elder Parkinson were walking down the road when they saw an old, very drunk man in a ditch. He was trying to crawl out, but was basically so plastered that he couldn't get out. He was yelling and they ran over to help him, and he grabbed Elder Parkinson by the shirt and said, "I'm going to hit you!" Then, he looked at his name tag and goes, "nah, I wouldn't hit you." Then turns to Justin and yells, "I would you, though! I would kill you!"

Well, needless to say, Justin is still alive. Haha. There is one crazy story from last week.

The week before, Elder Chidester and his companion were teaching a man named Tim. They were at his apartment teaching him and his girlfriend. Apparently the Spirit told Tim that he needed to blow his sheep horn over Elder Parkinson's head. And so he did. I about laughed my butt off when Justin wrote about this. However, that also may have been due to the fact that he drew an illustration to put along with it. Which is now posted below haha. Due to some problems they had with Tim, though, they are no longer able to give him the lessons. Hopefully one day he will be able to have them again. (:

Pictures!

Welcome to Kansas!

Where the sidewalk ends?? Hehe. (:

It's Mater! (I was jealous. I really want to see this
in person haha. Someone has a lot of time on their hands!)
This was in Derby, Kansas, if I remember correctly.

New Friends! :D

This picture above is from when Elder Chidester was in Greenwood, I believe.
They were able to baptize this guy named James after a lot of hard work. (:

Can you see him?

We don't need to question his geek-ocity.
We're all aware of the meter reading. ;)
Just kidding! (:

District in Trenton

Elder Chidester and Elder Nester (first companion
in Trenton.) I'm not sure who the fella on the right is. (:

Here are a few pictures Elder Chidester has sent throughout his mission. Some of them are crazy, but hey, that's why we love him, right? (:
